The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam has displayed Willem de Kooning’s Woman I (1950–1952) and Woman and Bicycle (1952–1953) in a dedicated space in its Gallery of Honour, beside Rembrandt’s The Night Watch. The paintings are on view from 9 October through 17 January as part of a tribute linked to an exhibition on the Dutch-American artist.
