At the Michelin Guide Netherlands 2026 ceremony in Maastricht, Azurite in Delft and Suis in Schin op Geul received two Michelin stars. Seven restaurants received their first star, while reports also described nine restaurants as newly awarded stars; the difference was not explained. The Netherlands now has 119 restaurants with at least one Michelin star, the same total as the previous year. De Librije in Zwolle retained its three stars and remains the Netherlands’ only three-star restaurant. Rozewied in Kortgene received its first star and the Young Chef Award. Restaurant Nassau in Groningen and the new restaurant of Jarno Eggen and Amanda Rixtum in Drenthe also received stars. Da Vinci in Maasbracht lost its remaining star, ending Margo Reuten’s 27-year run with a Michelin star there.

Dutch entertainer Gordon appeared on the cover of the new Men’s Health after a fitness programme that reports described as lasting about 240 days, or seven months. He said he had weighed 123 kilograms and had lost 35 kilograms during the process. Gordon said the transformation also involved a mental change, including no longer having rage attacks. He presented the result on Monday and said he was proud of the cover.
