Storm Austen caused fallen trees and branches and damage in several parts of the Netherlands, particularly in Limburg and North Brabant. A tree fell onto a moving car in Amsterdam during Austen; its driver was not injured. Other reported damage included a tree that tore a hole in the roof of a farm in Volkel. Storm Boelo brought further strong winds on the following night, causing more fallen trees, road disruptions and property damage. In Amsterdam-Noord, a tree fell on a moving car and the driver was taken to hospital. Trees temporarily blocked the N207 near Alphen aan den Rijn and access to a residential area in Nijeveen, while a house in Rijnsburg was damaged. Dozens of flights at Schiphol were cancelled. The KNMI continues to warn of strong gusts, with code yellow in parts of the country and gusts of 75 to 100 km/h expected in coastal areas until the night from Sunday to Monday.

Storm Austen brought rain and strong winds to North Holland, though no actual storm was reported there. Some trees were blown down, including in Amsterdam. Rainfall was lower than elsewhere in the country, with 10 mm recorded in Medemblik and 14 mm at Schiphol, compared with up to 55 mm elsewhere, according to a single report. Strong to stormy southerly winds are expected to increase again, with a chance of a southerly storm on Texel and gusts up to 90 km/h. Code yellow is in force from 22:00 until 14:00 on Monday because of strong gusts. A further 20 to 30 mm of rain is forecast overnight and into Monday, when hail and thunder are also possible. Conditions are expected to remain wet and unsettled until the middle of next week.
