Slagerij Schutjes in Son en Breugel is due to celebrate its 125th anniversary on Saturday, 31 October. Joris is continuing the butcher’s shop as the fourth generation and says work should be done properly.

The family’s history includes Theo, Joris’s grandfather, who reportedly carried his holster and cycled to farms to slaughter pigs. His grandmother Truus continued cleaning the cutting machines until she was 85.
