Bookshops in several Dutch cities opened at midnight for the release of the sixth book in Sarah J. Maas’s A Court of Thorns and Roses series, known in Dutch as Hof van Doorns en Rozen. Fans, mainly young adults, bought early copies after waiting five years for a new instalment; events were held in places including Middelburg, Groningen, Deventer, Utrecht, Rotterdam and Enschede. A bookstore organiser said about 150 people attended events in Enschede and Deventer, which included workshops and a quiz. The new book follows 19-year-old Feyre and is part of the romantasy genre, combining romance and fantasy.
