Pathé said it will devote almost all of its programming on 16 December to Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three, which are both due to be released that day. The cinema chain calls the initiative Dunesday and plans to screen both films throughout the day. Pathé expects the simultaneous releases to draw large audiences. A second report described cinemas worldwide as preparing for high demand, but gave no further details on programming outside Pathé.
