Increase in millionaire households in the Netherlands

6 sources

New CBS figures showed that the number of Dutch households with assets of at least €1 million increased by more than 81,000 on 1 January 2025 compared with a year earlier. The reports disagree on the total: several put it at 547,000 households, while later reports put it at more than 574,000. One report described the figures as preliminary. A single report said the increase was mainly linked to higher house prices. Another said Bloemendaal and Laren had the highest number of millionaire households, while Groningen, Flevoland, Limburg and Friesland had the fewest. In Friesland, Schiermonnikoog and Terschelling were reported to have the largest shares of millionaire households, at 13.4% and 12.4% respectively.
