Reported labour exploitation in the Netherlands rose by 13% last year, according to the annual report by National Rapporteur Conny Rijken. Reports increased particularly in hospitality, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, while reports of sexual exploitation also rose. The report described labour exploitation as a persistent form of human trafficking and said it often remains out of view.
