Haarlemmerdijk works are scheduled to last a year and a half

Work on the Haarlemmerdijk in Amsterdam has started to replace gas and water pipes dating from the 1970s. The work is being carried out in stages on the south side of the street by Liander and Waternet, so the street does not have to be closed completely and the shops remain accessible. Because the pipes cannot be replaced at the same time, the project is expected to take a year and a half and be completed in January 2028.

During the first phase, the intersection of the Haarlemmerdijk and the Korte Prinsengracht is closed. Cyclists are being redirected via the Brouwersgracht and Haarlemmer Houttuinen, or can walk with their bicycles alongside the works. Later phases will allow cyclists to ride past the works.

Maintenance work on the Diemerzeedijk

1 source

Maintenance work on the Diemerzeedijk in Amsterdam began early in October and is scheduled to continue until 11 December. The road is being renewed in stages, with the section between the Hein de Haanbrug and the Buitenkerkerweg being worked on from 26 October after the section between the Nescio Bridge and the Buitenkerweg was addressed. Homes and marinas remain accessible during the work. The Diemerzeedijk is closed to cyclists and car traffic. Cyclists are being diverted via the IJburglaan, Haveneiland and the Dick Hilleniuspad. Cars can temporarily use a cycle path through the Diemerpark to reach the Buitenkerkerweg, resulting in expected extra traffic in the park.
