Maintenance work on the Diemerzeedijk

Maintenance work on the Diemerzeedijk in Amsterdam began early in October and is scheduled to continue until 11 December. The road is being renewed in stages, with the section between the Hein de Haanbrug and the Buitenkerkerweg being worked on from 26 October after the section between the Nescio Bridge and the Buitenkerweg was addressed. Homes and marinas remain accessible during the work.

The Diemerzeedijk is closed to cyclists and car traffic. Cyclists are being diverted via the IJburglaan, Haveneiland and the Dick Hilleniuspad. Cars can temporarily use a cycle path through the Diemerpark to reach the Buitenkerkerweg, resulting in expected extra traffic in the park.
