Fourteen-year sentence for killing in Enschede

The Almelo court sentenced Kendrick J., 38, from Enschede to 14 years in prison for killing Sahra Said, his 43-year-old Somali wife. The killing took place at their home on Julianastraat in Enschede in March of the previous year.

The court found that he killed her with brutal force and in an inhumane manner.

A court sentenced a 39-year-old man from Enschede to 14 years in prison for the violent death of Sahra Saïd, 43, in an apartment in Enschede. He must also pay more than €107,000 in compensation to Saïd’s relatives. Saïd was beaten, kicked and tied up, and clothing and plastic were left over her mouth and nose. The conflict reportedly concerned a stolen bicycle.
