A court sentenced a 39-year-old man from Enschede to 14 years in prison for the violent death of Sahra Saïd, 43, in an apartment in Enschede. He must also pay more than €107,000 in compensation to Saïd’s relatives.

Saïd was beaten, kicked and tied up, and clothing and plastic were left over her mouth and nose. The conflict reportedly concerned a stolen bicycle.
