Hester Bais, a council candidate for the Libertaire Group Durlacher (LFD), was listed as “Horses (H.) Fuck” on the English-language election website of the municipality of Hilversum. The municipality said it used artificial intelligence to provide election information in other languages and acknowledged that the translation error was sloppy, while noting that it was not required to offer the information in multiple languages.

The listing was corrected after it was brought to the municipality’s attention and now identifies the LFD’s number five candidate as Hester (H.) Bais. Bais said she found the error very amusing but was concerned that it had not been detected and questioned the handling of personal data by the government.
