Political groups in the Zeeland provincial council supported the planned sale of the Borssele nuclear power plant to the Dutch state. They said the province would no longer bear financial and other risks connected to the plant after the sale.

The state plans to buy 70% of the shares in EPZ, the plant’s operator.
