Female representation on boards of Dutch listed companies

The Female Board Index found that women held 18% of executive-board positions and 44% of supervisory-board positions at 81 Dutch listed companies. The share of women on supervisory boards remained unchanged, while the increase in female executive appointments showed no acceleration. At the current pace, one third of executive-board members would be women only in 2044.
Twenty-one companies had at least one third women on both their executive and supervisory boards, up from 17 a year earlier. Seventy-one of the 81 companies met the legal requirement that at least one third of supervisory-board members be women and at least one third be men; there is no equivalent quota for executive boards. State Secretary Judith Tielen said the number of women in senior roles is not rising quickly enough and said she will evaluate the quota next year.
