Multiple websites were taken offline as a precaution because of various vulnerabilities in PHP, a widely used programming language. The problems reportedly also prevented a boy from ordering a hamburger. Technology journalist Joe van Burik described the situation as a serious threat to the internet while discussing it on a news programme.
