VO Council backs ending compulsory textbook bundles

The VO Council said secondary schools should have more choice when buying schoolbooks, including affordable alternatives and the option of using printed books, digital materials or a combination of both. It backed the Authority for Consumers and Markets’ call to end compulsory tying of products. According to the authority, students are still too often required to buy both a printed and a digital version.
