Villa ExpertCare and its owner, B. Braun, were criticized in the House over their actions and stance regarding the planned closure of four care villas for seriously ill children. Villa ExpertCare announced at the beginning of the year that it would stop operating the villas because of high costs. The closure was expected to leave 80 children without highly specialized care.
