Vandalism at an oliebollen stand in Amsterdam
◆2 sources
Oliebollen seller Yessin van den Noord found that power cables had been stolen, water hoses cut and the floor of his stand damaged at Lambertus Zijlplein in Amsterdam. The damage prevented him from opening. It was the second incident at the stand that month; a week earlier, he had found rubbish and empty nitrous oxide canisters beside it.
Van den Noord said he did not believe local youths were responsible and intends to continue operating the stand. Residents are keeping watch, while police patrol the square more frequently.
