Urgent council debate on Transclinic funding
◆2 sources
Amsterdam city council members were set to hold an urgent debate with Alderman Araya Sumter over uncertainty about funding for the Transclinic’s premises at the Q-Factory in Amsterdam-East. The alderman had committed additional funding toward accommodation costs, but the amount, duration and whether it would cover the clinic’s needs remained unclear.
The debate was requested by Volt councillor Pim van der Burk. The Transclinic, a partnership between Trans United Europe and the GGD, provides hormone guidance, vaccinations and STI tests, and helps people obtain referrals for gender care and change names and gender details in documents.
