A UN Environment Programme report said funding from wealthy countries to help developing countries adapt to climate change remained far below what is needed. It put the 2024 contribution at about $30 billion; one report instead gave a figure of €31.7 billion. The report said an earlier $40 billion target for 2025 appears out of reach.
