Unclaimed inheritances in the Netherlands
◆1 source
About 3,500 estates in the Netherlands are reported to go without a known heir each year. They concern inheritances of Dutch people whose relatives remain unknown after an initial investigation. The estates often pass through municipalities to the Rijksvastgoedbedrijf’s Unmanaged Estates service and may include homes, cars, bank accounts, jewelry, musical instruments and charms or parts of charms.
