Ukrainian families in Hoorn move with their pets
◆1 source
The so-called pet dispute in Hoorn was reported to have ended after five Ukrainian families agreed to move next weekend to a location on Maelson Street with their pets. Residents and the municipality were said to be satisfied with the solution. The families had to leave their current homes because they are being demolished for new construction. Pets were not allowed at the initially proposed location in an unused part of the town hall, leading to a prolonged dispute with the municipality. The issue prompted protests by political parties, a demonstration and a petition with 1,800 signatures. The families are now expected to move with their pets.
