A truck caught fire on the Schroeweg in Middelburg on Thursday afternoon, reportedly possibly because of an overheated brake. Firefighters brought the fire under control quickly.

A lane closure caused major traffic disruption in and around the city centre, and the truck remained stuck on the Schroeweg towards the centre.
