Strong winds caused a large tree to fall onto a house on Venstraat in Volkel at about 18:20. The tree damaged the roof, leaving a large opening, and also struck a conservatory at the rear of the house.

The tree broke into two in the fall. Firefighters used an aerial ladder to cut it into pieces, and an emergency covering was needed for the damaged roof ahead of rain. No injuries were reported.
