From Monday, transit freight and agricultural traffic is no longer allowed on parts of Kerkweg, Korteraarsweg and Oude Kerkpad in Ter Aar. The municipality introduced the ban to improve road safety in the village centre.

Residents reacted differently. Some welcomed the measure, while others feared it would increase traffic on surrounding roads and raise costs for local businesses.
