Tom Vlielander, 34, from Vlaardingen reportedly built up a debt of €50,000 after starting with €10 in a slot machine. He cheated on people close to him and considered ending his life. He has now stopped gambling for more than a year and has written a book about his experience, aiming to show that recovery is possible.
