An 89-year-old woman from Spijkenisse had her bank card stolen while shopping in the town centre in August. The suspect allegedly distracted her with birthday cards before taking the card.

Police released CCTV images of a man they are seeking. He allegedly withdrew more than €500 from the woman’s account; an earlier report put the amount at €540.
