Sports clubs in Apeldoorn reportedly faced stolen bicycles and balls, destroyed target nets and copper stripped from changing rooms. Several clubs responded by installing cameras. A local gardening association was also reportedly broken into twice, with two thieves taking gardening equipment worth thousands of euros. It is now using bright lights and cameras to deter further thefts.
The measures are currently in place at the affected clubs and association.
