The summit of Switzerland’s Matterhorn was reported to have lost its snow cover after what was described as the country’s hottest summer on record. The mountain’s upper section was said to appear as bare rock, prompting concern among experts. The Matterhorn had been associated with the snow-capped image used on Toblerone chocolate packaging until 2023.­
