A young mother and her son were violently killed in Rotterdam-Zuidwijk in 1963. The case, known as the Brekelsveld double murder, remains unsolved despite 55,000 interrogations.

Journalist Marlies van Leeuwen, a second cousin of the victims, examined the case and its effect on the family. The relatives remain deeply traumatised, according to the reports.
