The tender for new electric vessels for the Westerschelde Ferry has been delayed again. Nevertheless, provincial executive Harry van der Maas still expects the first new vessel to operate between Vlissingen and Breskens in early 2029. The province aims to avoid a multimillion-euro investment in the current ferries.
