Tayfun Özcan, the 35-year-old kickboxer from Tilburg, announced that he will retire after one final bout. He is scheduled to face Anouar Afakir on 28 November at GLORY Rivals in the Maaspoort in Den Bosch.

Özcan said the demands of training, managing his gym and family life had become too much, and that he wanted to be more present for his children. After 17 years as a professional, he plans to remain involved in martial arts through his gym, where he wants to train young fighters. A single report said he had fought 105 professional bouts, won 89 of them and claimed seven world titles, and that he hoped to end his career with a 90th victory.
