Work on the cycle path along the Vogelweg (N706), near the Knardijk in Flevoland, is almost finished, according to the province. The old path was removed and replaced with a cement-free cycle path made of extra-reinforced concrete. Several sections were renewed earlier this year, and a safer bicycle crossing was built at the Knardijk.

The province says it will continue monitoring the renewed path and use the experience in decisions about replacing other cycle paths. On Wednesday 4 November, a contractor is scheduled to install repair boxes at the Trekkrug and the Horster Overbrug. The work will take place in the morning at the bridge over the Lage Vaart and in the afternoon at the Horster Overbrug; local detours will be signposted.
