Ten homes on Schillingdijk in De Aker, Amsterdam Nieuw-West, were evacuated after a suspected explosive was found in the front garden of a house. About half of the street was closed off.

Police and a rapid-response team attended, while the Explosive Ordnance Disposal service is assessing whether the object is an explosive and what should happen to it. Police asked witnesses and people with relevant camera footage to come forward.
