Stormy autumn weather gave way to milder conditions

Storm Austin brought stormy autumn weather to the Netherlands over the weekend, with Brabant particularly affected by strong winds, rain and possible traffic disruption. Johnny Willemsen of Weerplaza said the trees were still in leaf, so falling branches were possible, but he did not expect major problems. Sunday was forecast to remain changeable, with showers, sunshine and a strong westerly wind, although the wind was expected to ease compared with the previous days.
The weather was expected to become quieter from Monday and notably mild on Tuesday, with dry, sunny periods and temperatures of about 18 degrees. The remainder of the week was forecast to be mostly dry, calm and sunny, with occasional cloudy conditions possible.
