Stichting Raad is Daad is among the nominees for Amsterdam’s Omarmprijs, which will be awarded on 20 October for initiatives addressing poverty and inequality of opportunity. The foundation helps Amsterdam residents understand letters, complete forms and deal with municipal applications and other authorities. Founder Özlem Bayar said it supports Arabic- and Turkish-speaking people as well as Dutch-speaking residents, and that much poverty in the neighborhood is not visible.
