A building on Sarphatistraat in Amsterdam's Weesperbuurt was occupied by squatters about a week earlier. They made the occupation public by displaying banners and posters, including a banner calling for housing for people rather than profit. The property owner had been informed of the occupation and had not filed a report at the time of publication. Some of the squatters had left, but the available report was cut off before stating further details.
