The municipality of Soest is continuing plans to build two wind turbines in the polder near Amersfoort, with the possibility of a third mentioned. Amersfoort has rejected wind turbines on the other side of the municipal boundary. Soest alderman Annemarieke Weith-Plomp said the two areas are separate, although it had previously been agreed that Soest would place the turbines there only if Amersfoort did so as well.
