The case in Sittard began with a naked, seriously injured man fleeing to a car company and the later discovery of three other bound victims in a warehouse. The events were linked to the theft of up to 1,230 kilos of cocaine.

The name of Idris “Baba” C. (37) has been associated with the case since the summer of 2023, but there has been no trace of him. The court is due to rule on Thursday in the criminal case concerning the so-called torture sheds; his name is not expected to be mentioned in the decision.
