A new YouTube series, Side Quest, follows young people in North Holland who work in unusual professions. Reporters Lisa de Jong and Rowan from Brussels join them during their working days and look at what they earn, with the aim of inspiring viewers in their search for work. The series is scheduled to appear weekly on NH’s YouTube channel from 24 October.

The episodes feature a fairground operator in Blaricum, a scare actor at the Amsterdam Dungeon, a member of the rescue brigade on Callantsoog beach and an employee at the animal hotel at Schiphol. The people followed in the series say that passion matters more to them than money. The creators want to make a second season and are inviting people with unusual jobs to get in touch.
