Several shops in central The Hague boarded up their premises ahead of a planned Gen Z protest on Saturday, amid fears of unrest and looting. Reported targets included the Tommy Hilfiger shop on Hoogstraat, as well as Guess, Kruidvat and Ici Paris XL.

One report said shopkeepers in Amsterdam and Maastricht were also worried about planned protests there, while reporting that some businesses in The Hague had received threats.
