Chris Stoffer questioned about surrogacy and Rob Jetten

SGP leader Chris Stoffer appeared on Pauw & De Wit with Joost Eerdmans of JA21 and Henk Vermeer of BBB to discuss the right-wing bloc formed by their parties for cabinet negotiations. When asked about the SGP’s position on surrogacy, Stoffer said he does not make statements about private matters.

A later report said Stoffer had also addressed why he had not yet congratulated Prime Minister Rob Jetten in connection with surrogacy, giving two reasons.

JA21, BBB and SGP joint proposal on tax plan support

JA21, BBB and SGP joined forces in negotiations with the minority cabinet over support for the 2027 tax plan and the budgets. In a joint proposal, they offered to support the tax plan and the other budgets if the cabinet provides broad tax relief and makes concessions on asylum policy, nitrogen policy and medical-ethical issues, including abortion and surrogacy policy. The parties said they would negotiate as a bloc.
