Sentencing of Veldhoven nitrous oxide dealer

◆3 sources

The court in Den Bosch sentenced a 26-year-old man from Veldhoven to two years in prison, six months of them suspended, for large-scale trading in nitrous oxide despite the ban. He must therefore serve 18 months in prison. The court also ordered him to repay more than €897,000, described as proceeds from the trade; another report put the amount at almost €900,000 as a fine. One report said he stored a total of 646 kilograms of nitrous oxide at two locations. A single report said the investigation began after a concerned mother contacted a neighbourhood police officer about her daughter’s alleged long-term nitrous oxide addiction.
