Sélina van Gool, 40, was reportedly a victim of domestic violence for many years during her relationship with rapper Gers Pardoel. She has written a book about the alleged abuse. Van Gool said she was shocked by news that the number of people in the Netherlands who consider it justified for a man to hit his wife had slightly increased, and said the problem could only be solved by men.
