Police launched an urgent search for an 80-year-old man who went missing from the Bastion van Mijzo residential care facility in Geertruidenberg during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. His age and the low outdoor temperature made the case urgent.

Police searched the care facility and nearby water by boat, while the Veterans Search Team assisted. Several Burgernet alerts were issued, and police said they were considering all scenarios.
