Sandra Smits, 27, reportedly won a design pitch for a more beautiful and ecological Leeuwarden. Nine architects and urban planners took part in the challenge, which asked them to develop something valuable for the city, potentially even on a beer mat. Her design proposed ecoducts with houses over busy roads.
