The municipality of Hollands Kroon bought the Holy Hippolytus Church in Hippolytushoef, along with its adjacent presbytery and associated land. The diocese agreed to the sale after receiving approval from the Vatican, making it final.

It is not yet clear what new use the church will have. The municipality is investigating possible functions and intends to involve village residents, with the aim of retaining a social function for the building. The purchase price was not disclosed, and the sale marks the end of the parish.
