Nearly a year after Ouder-Amstel announced its Attention to Safety action plan following the killing of 17-year-old Lisa from Abcoude on the Holterbergweg in Duivendrecht, measures have been taken on cycling routes between Amsterdam and Duivendrecht. The plan includes improved lighting, more pruning, increased enforcement and camera surveillance. Route users nevertheless said the routes do not yet feel much safer and that the municipality should do more.
