The municipality and fire brigade inspected the former Splendor light-bulb factory on Sint Annastraat in Nijmegen after earlier checks in March and April found the building unsafe. The building contains dozens of businesses and two homes.

The inspection identified building-structure and fire-safety issues. The municipality has warned it may take enforcement action, which could include evacuating all or part of the building.
